FreeSport grants of up to £1500 are available and are distributed to approximately 150 different organisations across London, twice a year, for projects to run during the summer (July to October) and the winter (January to April). Application rounds open in April and September for four weeks and interested organisations are required to submit their proposals online via this site.

Eligibility Criteria

For FreeSport Summer 2016, organisations must be:
  • Able to attract 20% previously 'inactive' participants
  • Able to provide a minimum of 8 hours activity
  • Able to ensure 70% of participants take part in a minimum of 6 hours activity
  • Able to ensure 10% of participants consider themselves to have an impairment, disability or require assistance to take part in activities
  • A not-for-profit - this includes voluntary and community organisations, social enterprises, local authorities and schools
